Most parts used for VW service are aftermarket parts which could be made in USA/Canada/Mexico/Asia. And even those OEM part, which come with your car are likely to be made in Asia and now Russia. Russia is automakers’s new land. Almost all brands now have manufacturing facility there because Russia also has any resource you need.

Mafia-run fake Ferrari racket busted by Italian police

Scroll down for more … Fake versions of Ferraris like this were being sold online by the Mafia Twenty-one of the fake cars were seized in Palermo and were put together using parts salvaged from stolen cars and write-offs. General Carofiglio described the fake mechanics as “extremely talented” and said that they also used second-hand American Pontiacs before selling them on for a huge profit. He added that a used car cost them 3,000 Euros, while the finished product fetched 20,000-50,000 Euros.

Used-car salesman charged with fraud

According to the complaint: On Nov. 5, 2005, Sedaghat sold what he purported to be a 1996 Toyota for $4,500. The buyer returned it four days later after learning it had serious mechanical problems. Sedaghat argued that the car wasn’t under warranty and charged the buyer $2,000 to repair it. The buyer also learned that the car was a 1993 model, not the 1996 model advertised. On Sept. 8, 2006, another buyer agreed to buy a 1997 VW Passat for $3,000.

2005 Volkswagen Jetta GLS TDI

The guy who bought this 2005 Volkswagen Jetta GLS TDI in Texas back in 2005 had very good taste. This Jetta is loaded with the GLS package, a top-of-the-line equipment package for the ‘05 diesel. It has a sunroof, a cloth-upholstered interior and, most important, a five-speed manual transmission.
