Group accepting new car seats at Saturday event

CHAMPAIGN Sixteen-month-old Pascaline Niamadjo was strapped in, and her squeals of outrage let everyone know she wasn’t happy. Her mother, on the contrary, was quite pleased. Kivuke Niamadjo had just received a new car seat from Safe Kids Champaign County, along with thorough instructions on how to install and use it properly.

Windrush Volkswagen invests ВЈ1m in the refurb of dealerships

Windrush Volkswagen Slough, the Volkswagen dealership that has been a focal point of the Farnham Road for 25 years, is mid-way through a major revamp changes that will greatly increase the workshop, new car showroom, used car forecourt and customer onsite parking, thereby further improving the company’s service to its customers. Locals will recall the petrol forecourt and industrial building beyond, though neither was actually ever connected with Windrush. It’s all-change now, however.

Business looking to build adult care facility CADILLAC DeShano Development Corporation is looking to build an adult care facility located just west of the Wildwood Condominium driveway on Sunnyside Drive. The facility, which could house up to 17 people, is for elderly who are independent but need assistance on occasion. Besides the 17 rooms there will be a common dining room, hair salon, rec room and open deck. The company is hoping to start construction in the fall.

Aston Martin

I think the biggest complaint I have about this car is the service I received from the dealer. A year after I had bought this used car from them, I had a major repair (~$5000). The warranty on it had just expired a few days earlier (of course) and only after we made a scene, they decided to reduce this ridiculous repair to $2400. NEVER VW again. The car itself is fun, and peppy. There are 2 major design flaws (I hope they’ve fixed it on newer models): 1.

Honda, Nissan to expand showroom space

The local Honda and Nissan dealership will soon be changing its name and remodeling its showroom and facility at South Washington Street and 32nd Avenue South in Grand Forks. The more than $1 million remodeling of the existing Honda showroom, addition of a separate Nissan showroom and renovation and updating of the shop area recently got under way and is expected to be complete by spring.

Investigation Continues at Gene Martin Auto Sales

Jemison, Ala. Oct. 17, 2007 — An investigation continues into possible stolen property at a Chilton County used car lot. Federal, state and local investigators have been at Gene Martin Auto Sales in Jemison since Friday. Crimescene tape surrounds the entire complex, covering each car and even the owner s home. Investigators are trying to determine whether the car lot has been selling stolen vehicles. Owner Gene Martin and another man were arrested.

Two men were arrested for stealing catalytic converters this week a week after the commonwealth s attorney urged police to beef up their efforts to make junk yard dealers follow reporting requirements.
