Chicago Dramatists’ new ‘Cadillac’ needs no hard sell

Populated by reliable veterans of the Chicago boards such as Craig Spidle (superb as a sales manager trying to shove together two competing halves of his life), Rob Riley (crisp, smart and funny) and Gene Cordon (who deftly provides the emotional core of the play), Edward Sobel’s honest, truthful and well-paced production would stand proud at any theater dealership in town. Kevin Depinet’s set is remarkable.

Subaru honours used car dealers

Subaru has expressed its commitment to the used car market by honouring some of its UK dealers, it has emerged. According to DueMotori.com, the Japanese manufacturer looked at over 90 of its approved dealerships to see which drivers are receiving the best used car service. The survey considered the individual dealers used car displays, levels of professionalism and performance in adhering to Subaru’s 102-point pre-check inspection and 12-month approved warranty scheme.

Former Classic Chevrolet site could be redeveloped

Plans past Planning Commission, on to City Council. By ERIC WELCH The Planning Commission approved a request to develop the former Classic Chevrolet used-car dealership site on Eastpark Drive in SAVI Ranch with a 4-1 vote on Wednesday. Commissioner Mark Abramowitz was in opposition. The redevelopment plans include two buildings: a showroom that is more 28,000 square feet and a two-story office building with more than 17,000 square feet of space.

Subaru names its best used car dealers

In Scotland S S Services, in Ayr, won the award, while other winners included Slip End Garage in Luton, Holdcroft Subaru in Newcastle-under-Lyme, and Cross Roads Garage in Shipston on Stour. The competition - which is held annually within Subaru s network of approved dealers - evaluates the retailer s adherence to the manufacturer s programme standards, the quality of its used car display and the professionalism of service.

1999-2006 Audi TT Pre-Owned

Want a cool used car? With the second-generation Audi TT now on sale, first-generation machines are rapidly finding their way onto dealer lots as trade-ins. Audi put attention to radical styling on the map with the first-generation TT- which competed with the likes of the Nissan 350Z, Mercedes-Benz SLK, Honda S2000, BMW Z4 and Porsche Boxter. None of these managed look quite as unique as the Audi. It tends to be considered gorgeous- though some say it’s akin to an overturned bathtub.

Mini selected for award among new cars

The revived Mini brand has been praised once again this week and given more awards to add to its collection. Announcing record new car and used car sales records, Mini UK’s general manager Andy Hearn commented as the model was given the title of best supermini by readers of BusinessCar magazine. Top Gear magazine awarded the prize for best small car to the Mini for the secod year in a row, although this time around it was the new Mini Clubman that achieved the accolade.
