Chrysler expands certified used car availability

Summary: Newly-privatised Chrysler is building on recently-announced new executive appointments and future product plans with the announcement it will expand its US market certified pre-owned vehicle (CPOV) programme eligibility to all qualifying dealers there. Previously, its was limited only to so called ‘Five Star’ dealers.

Nissan answers your questions

Looking at Nissan more specifically: First, in the high volume compact car and small SUV segments: According to the latest Auto Dealer s Guide there is a 3% difference in value retained between the high selling models in this segment (it means there is almost no significant difference between all these high selling models), and the Nissan Tiida is positioned in this high selling segment. Similarly, the X-Trail is within 3% of its main competitor.

Chrysler employee discount goes to stablemates in Air Canada

The hookup between the auto maker and the airline is part of an aggressive push by Mr. Bigland to continue boosting his company’s sales in Canada and strengthen its hold on second place in the sales rankings. The company grabbed that spot last year ahead of Ford Motor Co. of Canada Ltd. and behind General Motors of Canada Ltd. by posting 12 months of year-over-year sales increases, which gave it the biggest market-share gains of any auto maker in the Canadian market.

Brad Barker Honda readies for expansion

BLOOMINGTON — In the midst of troubling times for the auto industry, one local car dealership is bucking the trend as it readies for an expansion. Bloomington’s Brad Barker Honda plans to demolish the former Dodge dealership behind its current facility at the corner of Veterans Parkway and G.E. Road and build a new service center this year.

February 24, 2008 Bentley Continental Flying Spur

The Bentley Continental Flying Spur is that rare car that combines the luxury and space of a limousine with the out-and-out performance of a sports car. It is based on the company s successful Continental GT, but whereas that car was a two-door coup , the Flying Spur is a four-door saloon. Despite the less sporty looks and the fact that at 2.4 tons it weighs about 275lb more, its performance figures are virtually identical to the GT.

Audi car dealers double profitability

Nowadays, there is more pressure on new cars to discount or offer incentives, according to dealers. The Internet has magnified the competitive pressures by showing consumers vehicle prices all over the country. Every new Dodge Ram truck of a particular model is presumed to be exactly like every other one, which leads dealers to undercut each other to move vehicles off their lots.
