Ford fares well in Consumer Reports reliability study

General Motors is a mixed bag. Among the bright spots is the redesigned Chevrolet Malibu with above-average reliability for the 4-cylinder model and average for the V6. The Buick Lucerne V8 and four-cylinder Pontiac G6 are both above average. The Chevrolet Avalanche is now average. But a quarter of GM models are still well below average.

Ralph Cestero remembers August 17th of 1977, his first day selling cars, because it was the day after Elvis died. He was racing cars as well, but he said that it was going nowhere and so through a friend he got a job selling Porsches. He went on to sell Jaguars, Lexus, and then Mercedes cars at American Service Center in Arlington , Virginia . At that time American Service Center had the only Ferrari Factory authorized dealership in the Northern Virginia, Maryland and Washington DC area.

Maita Ford Mercury in Auburn is latest dealership to close By Mark Glover -

Maita Automotive Group continues to sell Chevrolet, Hyundai, Nissan, Scion, Subaru and Toyota brands at dealerships in Sacramento and Elk Grove. Maita Ford Mercury joins nearby Auburn Nissan in closing. Michael Barbieri, owner and manager of Auburn Nissan, at 536 Grass Valley Highway, cited financial difficulties when he shut April 24, with 14 people losing their jobs. Dealership woes extended beyond the immediate Sacramento area over the weekend. On Sunday, Lithia Dodge of Fairfield closed down.
