BMW chalks out product expansion plans

BMW India is also planning to expand its dealership network and include four more cities including Pune, Ahmedabad, Kochi and Kolkata. These new dealerships will be in operation by next year, and will be in addition to the eight cities where BMW is already present. The company is also considering setting up smaller authorised service outlets in Tier II cities, Kronschnabl said.

Asset finance companies lose lending share

19 October 2007 7:00am Finance companies are losing market share in their biggest market segment, business lending, as the banks make an aggressive push for more SME and middle market business. According to KPMG’s 2006/07 survey of finance companies, released yesterday, finance company share of business lending (including finance lease receivables) was 9.9 per cent at the end of March this year. Share was down from 10.4 per cent in 2006 and 11.2 per cent in 2005.

FOREIGNER STABS CAR SALESMAN AND STEALS BMW

On 10 October 2007, at 11 AM, Banglamung Superintendent Police Colonel Sarayut Sa-gnuen-bpokai was notified by Mr.Suthee Phongsomboon (30), a staff member at Pattaya Car Center, located at 211/5 Moo 6, Nongprue, that a foreign man attacked him with a knife and stole a blue BMW 323I, license 2654, Bangkok. The incident occurred in front of the Thai Military Bank, Naklua Branch. Police rushed to the scene and met with Mr. Suthee, who was quite frightened and shaken up.

BMW predicts robust 2008 car market

According to research by BMW Financial Services, women anticipate that the credit crunch will have the biggest bearing on them 42 per cent expect a knock-on effect on their car purchase compared to just 31 per cent of men. Bob Jordan, sales and marketing director with BMW Financial Services said: Our research shows there will be a strong appetite for car buying next year.
