However, to avoid city congestion there is an active need to reduce the life of a car to 7-10 years. Further, congestion zones should be earmarked in all cities and any car entering into it should be asked to pay Rs.1000/- per occasion with staying limit of two hours.

At the same time reduce excise duty on buses to zero, to improve the public transport. All metro tickets should be subsidised. The city of London is planning to tax 50 dollars (approx 2000 rupees) a day for Sports Utility Vehicles (SUVs).

In addition, the city already requires people to pay 16 dollars (approx 600 rupees) a day if they enter a congestion zone. While such things are happening across the globe, the Finance Minister here announced a cut on excise duties for small cars…
