Mini selected for award among new cars
The revived Mini brand has been praised once again this week and given more awards to add to its collection. Announcing record new car and used car sales records, Mini UK’s general manager Andy Hearn commented as the model was given the title of best supermini by readers of BusinessCar magazine. Top Gear magazine awarded the prize for best small car to the Mini for the secod year in a row, although this time around it was the new Mini Clubman that achieved the accolade.
In addition, Parker’s Car Guides found the Mini to be the car with the slowest depreciation rate in 2007. This means those looking to sell their Mini or find a used car dealer might be in for a nice surprise. Mini offers premium design and build quality, low cost of ownership and a great driving experience, said Mr Hearn. It’s also one of the cleanest and most fuel-efficient models on the road.
The Mini’s latest addition, the Clubman, was unveiled last year and differs from the traditional model due to its innovative extended roof and extra back seat space.
