Used-car salesman charged with fraud

According to the complaint: On Nov. 5, 2005, Sedaghat sold what he purported to be a 1996 Toyota for $4,500. The buyer returned it four days later after learning it had serious mechanical problems. Sedaghat argued that the car wasn’t under warranty and charged the buyer $2,000 to repair it. The buyer also learned that the car was a 1993 model, not the 1996 model advertised. On Sept. 8, 2006, another buyer agreed to buy a 1997 VW Passat for $3,000.

2005 Volkswagen Jetta GLS TDI

The guy who bought this 2005 Volkswagen Jetta GLS TDI in Texas back in 2005 had very good taste. This Jetta is loaded with the GLS package, a top-of-the-line equipment package for the ‘05 diesel. Child Car Seats Get Trashed In Ft. Collins

It was a rather odd scene in Fort Collins on Thursday — Colorado state troopers, police officers, firefighters and child safety officials tossing used child car seats into a trash truck. Even though many of the seats still appeared to be useable, some were expired and some had pieces that were loose and missing. Officials wanted to bring to light the fact that even if a child car seat looks safe, it might not be.
