Renault expands its UK car dealer footprint
Following the acquisition of Renault Wirral last May, Renault Retail now has 23 Renault dealerships in the UK, plus the Autoworld used car site in Wolverhampton. Managing director Ian Plummer said: This is a major regional expansion which gives Renault Retail access to new market areas and improves our penetration in the London region. Within the London region these acquisitions follow a strategy to have dealerships near the five arterial routes into London.
We have acquired the dealerships as going concerns and both will continue trading without disruption. Used car sales, which account for 30 per cent of Renault s profits, will be enhanced at both sites. Extra facilities for van sales and servicing are planned.
